Hi, I'm Alannah!

Hi, I’m Alannah, mum to two little ones (both under six), former primary school teacher, holistic therapist, and now a doula and perinatal educator supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum season.
For a long time, I tried to fit into a career that didn’t quite fit me. I trained as a teacher, and while I loved supporting others, something always felt like it was missing. After leaving the classroom, I retrained as a therapist, and that’s when everything started to click.
I began working with pregnant women through massage therapy and what stood out wasn’t just their aching backs or tired limbs. It was their stories. So many of them were scared, overwhelmed, and filled with questions they didn’t know who to ask. Week after week, I found myself offering reassurance, information, and emotional support and I realised - this is what women are missing. Not just touch, but trust. Not just guidance, but genuine care.

Then I had my own children. And like so many mums, I was shocked at how hard the experience was - not just the birth itself, but everything that came after. I breastfed both of my children and faced so many challenges that no one had warned me about. I saw how much support was lacking, especially around feeding and postpartum recovery. That’s when I knew I had to do something more and be the person I had needed.
Now, I bring together all of those things - education, emotional support, therapeutic care, and real-life experience, to help women like you. So, if you're pregnant and not sure where to start, I’m here. You can ask me anything (really, the more questions the better). My goal is that you leave our time together feeling supported, calm, and confident in your own choices. You deserve a better start to motherhood and you don’t have to figure it out alone - we weren't meant to!
